Upgrade your HOME and LIVE in a BEAUTIFUL STATE!
As a transplant to the Carolinas from Northern California I understand not only how difficult moving to a new place can be. Looking for a home is more than just finding the right space but finding a sense of community that matches one's lifestyle. Some of my favorite things about the Carolinas are the green lush foliage and the blue of the skies and waterways, the mountains and beaches, the sports, and the performing arts.
A home is more than an impression, it's an expression of those who live within it. I truly believe the story in one's mindset or the story an individual grew up with reflects in one's home either in the design of exterior or interior or how it functions in the home as a family. Homes are messy and chaotic, homes are sweet, Homes are comfortable, Homes lean towards a lifestyle, homes are continually changing or transforming into different stages of life. So that state of a home is the state of one's mindset or an individual, couple's or family goals.
My own idea of home is rooted in a place filled with cherished items, memories, love and security. Home has always been a space where the doors are always open. A home goes beyond four walls to include friends, neighbors and community. It’s creating a space that changes as the needs of those who live within it change at different stages of life. Home should reflect the goals of an individual, couple or family. Even as a girl, I loved creating homes for my Barbies using my parents’ album covers, especially Captain and Tennille.
When I think of my childhood, I think of the kitchen table. It has always been the core of a home for me, especially at the holidays. It’s where folks share a meal and their stories. That’s what a home should be: the place where all feel comfortable and welcome to be themselves and share their stories. I know that each person’s idea of home is different. That’s what I love - how each person’s home is a reflection of their personality. You get a glimpse of a person when you see their home: their interests and their values.
I view my clients as extended family and friends. I love the stories of why my clients are moving. I strive to form connections by listening to their stories and helping them find a home where they can thrive and find community. As we walk through potential homes, I pay attention to what they are looking for, how they see home and community, and what their needs are. I want them to feel comfortable sharing with me. The way I approach real estate is intentional and purposeful.
